FEA Solver
NAGSIM_SM uses an incremental finite element analysis solver that is specifically design for metal forming operations specifically for sheet metal processes. However, the solver does not include the elastic deformation of the sheet and therefore does not predict spring back in the current version.
NAGSIM_SM.2D can predict deformation in round parts ( axisymmetric deformation) and in long parts ( Plane strain deformation).
